The story of Classic Christianity is truly miraculous. Since its initial release in 1989, we have seen God use this book in ways we could never have planned, dreamed, or even remotely imagined. Even the way the book came into existence is miraculous.

The word “classic” according to Webster’s Dictionary means ‘excellent; standard; authoritative; established.” Also among the many connotations of the word are “of or having a style that is balanced, formal, objective, restrained, regular, simple.”

This book is about my search for “Classic Christianity.” Neither God nor His Word has ever diminished in power. The Word of God is no less “living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB) today than in the first century when the followers of Christ turned the world upside down. The problem has always been, and is, with us. It is our human tendency to turn what should be a vibrant personal relationship and an experience of the life of Christ into a religion. We continue to stray away from the basics, to substitute good things for the best things, to become encrusted with the barnacles of tradition, to wander away from our first love. It happened to me, too. This book is about one man’s journey to rediscover “the real thing.”

    life changing truth

    Classic Christianity gives the essential life changing truths of the bible. Through stories Bob gives the big picture truths of the bible, such as forgiveness, salvation, identity, truth, etc... too many churches teach only pieces of the proverbial puzzle. Bob gives you the entire picture. Then the pieces make sense. Next to the bible this is the best book i have ever read.

    Clearest exposition of God's Truth since the Apostle Paul

    Bob George, like Paul the apostle, was chosen by God as a gift to the body of Christ to free us from the error we accept from many Christian teachers. As you read and listen to Bob's teaching, you'll grow to understand what the Bible means - not just what it says. Classic Christianity does just that!

    Classic Christianity is the most effective tool for conveying the Good News of God's Forgiveness and God's Life - in you! I've used this book to teach the Good News for the last 23 years. Although I've also used other books during that time period, Classic Christianity remains the HANDS-DOWN most effective tool I've ever used for conveying the message of God's Grace.

    I first read this book in 1990 & was very excited to learn what I discovered in it. I learned of God's wonderful, infinite, personal love and grace! There have been many books written about God's grace but this is among the first and it is the best!

    I went looking for a copy I have had for decades and then remembered I had given it away. Ordered this latest copy and ended up giving it to someone again before I had even opened it. I ordered some others items and am going through them so I hope to see it before too long! Have listened to Bob since the eighties and admire and am indebted to him for a great life due in part to his sacrifice as a servant of our Lord and Savior.
