If you are a sentimental Christian longing for the days when you still had joy, or you are struggling with sin and not living a full life, this book is your lifeline to freedom from the bondage of deadly thinking. I personally think the walk the aisle and say a prayer to get out of hell gospel that so many have experienced causes a lot of harm because God has much bigger dreams for mankind than you "getting your sins forgiven" to avoid pain and anguish in the afterlife. Bob's book clearly defines the problem with men is we are born spiritually dead, and the whole gospel is forgiveness of sins, and then we are made alive with Christ through HIs resurrection. Made alive so that we are able to allow Christ to live the Christian life in and through us. The book in a nutshell gloriously makes it clear that Jesus came to take away the sins of the world, and that sin was settled once for all, so when we place our faith in Christ finished work on the cross, our preoccupation should then be with LIFE, this LIFE, here and now. God has cleaned the vessels of sin through His Son's death on the cross, and now He wants to fill those clean vessels with the fruit of the Spirit, to be lived out in joy and sharing of the good news, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, both in the future, but even better, RIGHT NOW. I highly recommend this book FOR ALL, whether you are now an atheist, or an ordained minister of 50 years. You will learn something and look at familiar verses in a fresh way.

I was at a standstill in my life with a pretty major decision. It was not obvious what the correct choice was. My pastor said, "As Christians we spend way to much time sitting and spinning on decisions." I've heard that one enough and to those people I say, "ARE YOU STILL CHILDREN?" Of course that's not what it means! But if you wonder about Grace and what it really means in depth you MUST READ THIS BOOK! Learn how to love the Lord not because you must obey Him but why DO you WANT to obey Him? The whole thing is really easy and I spent 10 years of my walk not understanding this part. LEARN TO LIVE FOR THE LORD! Not just survive or stay out of Hell but to understand the other part of our walk that so many miss! LIVE! Don't waste another moment wallowing in self destructive thinking as a Christian!
