The story of Classic Christianity is truly miraculous. Since its initial release in 1989, we have seen God use this book in ways we could never have planned, dreamed, or even remotely imagined. Even the way the book came into existence is miraculous.

The word “classic” according to Webster’s Dictionary means ‘excellent; standard; authoritative; established.” Also among the many connotations of the word are “of or having a style that is balanced, formal, objective, restrained, regular, simple.”

This book is about my search for “Classic Christianity.” Neither God nor His Word has ever diminished in power. The Word of God is no less “living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12 NASB) today than in the first century when the followers of Christ turned the world upside down. The problem has always been, and is, with us. It is our human tendency to turn what should be a vibrant personal relationship and an experience of the life of Christ into a religion. We continue to stray away from the basics, to substitute good things for the best things, to become encrusted with the barnacles of tradition, to wander away from our first love. It happened to me, too. This book is about one man’s journey to rediscover “the real thing.”

    A must read. Called to a person, The Lord Jesus Christ who became my life

    Bob's book goes to the heart of the gospel, we were called to a person, The Lord Jesus Christ Himself! He helps bring to life what the Gospel is all about. Christ did the performance so that we could receive Him as our very life. Why? So He could give His life to us, so He could live His life through us! By understanding we were called to a person The Lord Himself to be our life frees us to surrender to Him allowing our mind, emotions, will and body to to function the way God intended as a living sacrifice. This book helps to clearly articulate this. One of my top 5 books that I have read. One caution, if you read it just to read it like another of your 100 books you will miss what is being said, ask The Lord to lead you in His truth and away from error. You will be glad you did.

    I have read this book many times over the years and each time the truth's in this book sets me free. I can't seem to hold on a copy of it for very long. It seems for as many times as I have read this book I have also given away whatever copy I happen to have.

    Pilate asked, "What is truth?" The answer, of course, is Jesus. This book explains the Truth using the Bible in a clear way that many have found useful. I look for opportunities to give away this book.

    You will find what your looking for in this book, the key to understanding Christianity the way Jesus meant it to be understood. Forgiveness was given to the world so that those who come to Christ could receive and keep Eternal life!
